I hope and i believe that they will come with something new we have just to patiently wait.
I have my Moto X4 and X5 appart from CPU and GPU improvement slightly better camera offers nothing new.
Like the difference between S7 and S8 or S7 edge and S8 edge. Even the S6 edge remains the same. Apart from infinity display and iris scanner all remained same.

I don't care how durable their screens are, I care that they aren't likely to create some new features because Lenovo removed their liberty to make anything new. Again, under Google, they created active display and active Google assistant.

Sure, I hate Samsung phones. 18:9 is ugly; their phones have burn-in issues, performance degradation issues, and severe battery degradation issues. Doesn't mean I derail into a topic of which brand has better durability. Especially for a brand that isn't remotely connected to Google (with the exception of the operating system).

Yeah, you win the display durability argument. There wasn't even an argument about that.

Anonym, 30 Jan 2018You should google "Hasselblad True Zoom" and "moto mods" in general...And?

It's not like it's new. You look up Samsung Galaxy Zoom, Project Ara, and LG G5.

Again, absolutely proves my point that Motorola under Lenovo has no freedom to innovate.

okcnaline, 30 Jan 2018Yep, shatterproof. The thing from back when Motorola was a Google company (Droid Turbo). Sure,... moreBut thats not true.
And shatterproof display survives a lot of damage.
Having glass screen protector is an option but in case of Samsung phones does not work.
Curved screen are resistant or better to say imune to screen protector.
Ypu cant have both screen protector and for example book case because the first time you put your cover it will push your screen protector off from the phone.
So what i want to say is: Curved screens are worst innovation past years followed by iris scanner.

Good. Finally no more LG Nexuses/Pixels.
Like, how many years in a row does it take for Google to realize that LG simply doesnt know how to make a proper Nexus/Pixel?
Bootloops, screen burn-ins, forgetting to install the OS (bruh...), etc.
LG makes amazing phones, especially the V30. But when the phone they are making is outside their ecosystem, they just mess it up one way or another.

Now that HTC got the money, they should start branching out in more directions. Imo they should start making Smart TVs and Smartwatches.
Like, imagine a TV with the Leanback Launcher, but also Blinkfeed. That would be so cool.
And Halfbeak... Like omg... I need that watch so badly. Under Armour x HTC sounds so dope.
I wonder if the watch had Blinkfeed before they cancelled it.

HTC has always being playing catch up to Samsung and Apple when it came to the screens, cameras, and processors. The fact that they also had large bezels, thick dimensions, poor support, and more cluttered software also played important negative roles. The only thing keeping HTC alive for so long is the first-dealers advantage and fan loyalty. That ran out with the HTC One (M8), and Samsung dominated them with the Galaxy S4, Note3 after that. And Apple blitz them especially with the iPhone 6. Whilst Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo dominated the important Asia markets (China, India, SE-A).

It took HTC several years and several Billion Dollars to understand their problems, behest to the many professionals, that when people pay a premium price, they expect a premium device overall.
