I used to be a big fan of HTC, but ditching the 3.5mm jack and making cardboard quality phones made me go as far away as possible...
Updates are very lazy as well.
They thought that shiny colors will compensate lmao

HTC is failing on simple things like:
        - smaller bezels two years ago
        - thinner and lighter phones compared to competition
        - poor battery life

My last HTC was Sensation XL and then it was ahead of its time.

Its no wonder noone is intersted in HTC and their poor quality and bendable devices like U11 shown by our beloved Zack from Jerry Rigs Everything which can be easily broken.

maybe they should consider lowering their prices. selling one device for $200 is better than selling none for $300, so to say, and pricing is a deciding factor for most potential buyers.
unless their manufacturing is rather cost-inefficient and reducing profit margin not feasible, in which case... idk, good luck

Unlike Samsung and other companies such as Xiaomi and LG , Sony final design and specifications on a new phone will leaked the very least 5 days before announcement of the phone , as due Sony is very-secured about leaking or bringing out a new phone to public and they're pretty stricted doing it as most Sony phones surprised people a lot , near approach like Apple .

Remember Xperia XZ Premium ? Those phone design was leaked 1-2 days before it was official announced . Other design was completely fake .So those design out there isn't true at all or take it as a grain of salt until those last days are starting to countdown , and if possible , OnLeaks , CompareRaja and Evan Blass has the best one that accurately leaking Sony device (almost 100%)

That's because none of the phone released this year was as tempting as the HTC One M8 back in 2014 or as the HTC 10 released in 2016.
HTC U Ultra wasn't even worth it's price, HTC U11 was great in everything but durability wasn't good and design looked very old. U11+ wasn't released in a proper manner, lots of delays launching it. U11 Life wasn't up to the expected level, for it's price point, Mi 6 and Mi Note 3 was a way better choice. So I think HTC might die until they bring the same design language from HTC One M8. I would suggest them to make a phone like the Google Pixel 2 XL, 18:9 ratio with front firing speakers. Make HTC great again.

anything else was horrible even before with 16:9. for other usages of landscape mode that are needed to use, fmo it's better to have even 4:3 ratio, like the iPad.

sorry, i don't agree about browsing in portrait mode. 18:9 is way way better for that. you need to scroll less..

and about one hand. even tho 18:9 is a bit longer, it's much easier to reach up because it's narrower and your fingers are more flexible to reach places.
It's one of the main thing I've noticed.

It's a shame, really. But there has to be a loser in the market. Nokia bowed out early but seems to be on the right track to resurgence. Sony followed suit in the world of irrelevance. Blackberry is hanging on by a thread. While huawei (ugh), xiaomi, oppo, and vivo are tipping the scales in their favor. It's just the way it is. Doesn't help that the only ones excited about their products are the fanatics. And how reliable are they in society? Lol.
