Today i saw the miui 9 update available for my note4 SD625. But after reading so many not so good reviews I am bit hesitant to intstall it. less battery backup and slower performance are big issues to settle. Will wait for some genuine reviews for my device. Hope someone does a thorough test. btw when the Oreo is coming to xiaomi devices?

Redmi Note 4 and Mi Max 2 will get MIUI 9 update on early November and the rest of eligible Xiaomi phone will get it by the end of November.

Am I the only one not to get all the features mentioned in the updates? I don't see any app drawer or smart app launcher after the update. Where are the sticker packs?

They will try it on this phones before pulling it into high range phones, which is smart, even if I want it now. I also wonder if they will update OS on MI 5 series aside from MIUI. I have MI 6, so I guess I'll get only MIUI update, hope they update to oreo soon :(

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2017Even a 5 year old mi 2 will get this. I still don't understand people who say that Xiaomi's su... moreyou will get the UI updated but not the OS. Your MIUI 9 will still be on top of old Android. You will get the looks(basically a launcher update) but not all the features.Example of downside, apps that you use from the playstore might require newer versions of the OS, so you might not be able to use them or be stuck on unsupported versions.
