Fail moto...You can't judge something without using it, i have the moto z and it has one of the best battery optimization ever, i get 4.5 hours of SOT, plus the stock android is very fluid and the multitasking is just amazing, it keeps my games in the background for days, this is speaking on the moto z as a phone, as for the mods, i agree that they are expensive, but you don't have to buy them.

Good, right? Not exactly.
Moto officially supporting the keyboard mod only adds to the bureaucracy; now they need to get all sorts of FCC approvals and also make sure that it doesn't infringe on any keyboard patents, slider patents, key design patents, etc.
Moto may have just made this move to sweep the keyboard mod under the rug. There were working prototypes already this sumnmer. Now Moto can just say, "We tried, but the approval process took too long, not our fault."
Moto Mods were never meant to be anything other than a sales gimmick. If you want a physical keyboard on a phone, there's only one choice anymore.

Did they make the physical keyboard mod yet? I must always have a PKB and I am not sure how long my Priv is going to last.
If they make a good PKB mod, then Motorola maybe an alternative to the Keyone for me.
