Btw this has a better look and built than the Moto X4.
Lenovo destroyed Moto. I really used to love bow their phones looked and felt.

Dismal Camera Quality. The Samsung J7, J7 Plus and On Max take way better pics at a similar price point. It's amazing how the Moto G Series camera quality is so disappointing, almost consistently, for so many years.

At 16 K launch price I find it's a very good value for money. Considering build quality, OS, hardware and especially camera it's a very good deal. This is the first phone from Lenovo Moto that is giving good value for money at it's launch price.

Aloof, 29 Aug 2017Mr Mobile's review shows that Essential's photos are not great though..Rubin capability is on software not hardware, moto is still the oldest with biggest Patten and innovation on mobile. The rest depend on user taste

I wonder why these smartphones where released in thr first place. I don't think they're bad or anything I actually think they're well spec'd and priced well but the phones don't offer much difference from the original moto g5 and g5 plus? Did they make these phones so they can compete with the unibody phones that nokia released? I personally can't find any other reason

Aloof, 29 Aug 2017Mr Mobile's review shows that Essential's photos are not great though..He didn't say it's bad. He merely said that the dynamic range and other things weren't as good as the best smartphones. I am guessing, that the cameras would need more software updates to be really good.

They promised nougat for moto x play in the beginning of July and no update so far...when its time to change my phone around the end of the year... i will probably not gonna buy moto again

Whether the Motorola G5S Plus call pull it off is something only users and reviewers will be able to say.
The previous generation Motorola G5 Plus has pretty disappointing photo quality.

I wonder how much better the Motorola G5S Plus will be than the Nokia 6, since the two are priced very similarly.
Better processor (Snapdragon 625 vs Snapdragon 430), dual camera instead of one, better software (Nokia 6 users have been complaining of overheating, phone hanging, camera processing issues with bad quality photos etc), quickcharge,
One MAJOR feature that the earlier Motorola G5 Plus and now the new G5S Plus have is 4k Video recording on a Smartphone at this price point.

From what I understand, the G5S+ captures a pic using both cameras, then overlays it on each other, for B&W camera's dynamic range and quality, and color camera's color information.
But this might result in a blur... specially in close up/ macro mode, right?
I kind of don't feel confident of such solutions. Better to use f1.7 and big pixels in one sensor.
