When a third-party add-on does not work well with a first-party device, it is a third-party problem, not a first-party problem.
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2017What about human skin will that destroy the paint like on the iphone?!Well, they tried to recall every people's Skins (TM), but there is no equivalent alternative, so people are reluctant to send them away. The PigSkin (TM) is just not good enough, and BabySkin (TM) is so last generation. And YeOldSkin... It's a real joke. Especially the latest "112Years OldSkin(TM)".
AnonD-558092, 05 Mar 2017Great job dbrand. Sacrifice profits for consumers is always appreciated.Totally agree. DBrand got my respect now. They are showing up the flaws of Nintendo Switch while trying to protect the customers.

Doesn't it means that by time and daily use the coating will be damaged soon? If that's the case, i'd prefer put on a skin and not removing it anyway. The skin makers should just tell their customers about the damage caused by removing the skin is their own responsibility.
real gamers doesn't care about the skins or whatever . The most important thing about it, is all the keys of the console is functioning properly . well pc user here.
If you think this is just a "skin problem", think again... just wait for what the "test of time" will do to it. (hint: it will be harsher than any skin)
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2017They bought 10 release consoles as well to test if GSM posted the whole articleEven if Dbrand do tell them its not like Nintendo must recall their devices just because Dbrand skin doesn't work on them. Its customer liability to put or not to put the skin. Its more of the skin manufacturer responsibility to tell customer that it doesnt work well with Nintendo Switch.
The paint is soo important oooooh

Dave Granger, 05 Mar 2017The only people who use DBrand skins are the ones who are paid to. Yes Linus, I'm looking at you.Damm where's my money then.

Jimbob, 05 Mar 2017Why didnt they tell Nintendo about this?!The warning is pretty much a way of telling Nintendo. Dbrand only received a pre-production units anyway.

Since Dbrand was given a testing unit, I believe it is fair to assume that negotiations of sort went thru. It just did not work out in the end.
I say hats off to Dbrand for this move.
Jimbob, 05 Mar 2017Why didnt they tell Nintendo about this?!Why should they?
Great job dbrand. Sacrifice profits for consumers is always appreciated.
Jimbob, 05 Mar 2017Why didnt they tell Nintendo about this?!Who knows. Maybe they did. But why do they NEED to tell Nintendo? There's nothing wrong with the Nintendo Switch. The paint will only peel off if they put an adhesive - which many people wouldn't do. Other than that, it functions properly.
Why didnt they tell Nintendo about this?!
