Xiaomi released the mi note and mi note pro, essentially the same phone, with different resolution 5.7" screens, 1080p and 2k. they did both have different processors and ram sizes as well though.

I am in quite a dilemma. I have been waiting for a nice flagship device with 5 inch screen since last year within rs35000 range but haven't found any. Galaxy s7 is nice but a bit costly , hope it drops as s8 launched. Oneplus3 is nice but 5.5 inch isn't my liking. Hope mi6 will turn out to be a nice smartphone I am waiting for. BTW currently I am using MOTO X 1st gen and I love it except it's Battery life.

                            Even by 2016 standards.
Larger aperture, Dual cameras and bigger pixels are the future.

I don't see why they d use the inferior 386 sensor with 1.25um pixels over the 378 in the MI 5s with 1.55um

This world needs a proper 4+ inch flagship NOT a smaller version of a Note device. The fact that iPhone 5/SE has no competitors is beyond me.

Especially because 1080p is perfectly scaleable to 2160p. So, they could use a 4K screen and still only use 1080p for everything except VR, hence saving processor resources and battery life.
