I'd say that'd be because the new j series runs an exymos like the s6 & it was easy to adapt to the j&a series. The others are snap dragon &will take a bit longer to test as there all old version 32bit 800series where the newer mid tiers are 64bit.just like their a series tablets that should get it soon. I personally font care. If I liked my phone when I got it & still do why do I need updates that introduce bugs & issues that were not there b4. I still remember when n4 was updated from kit kat. It was horrendous. Google play service drain cut my stand by in half. Constant wakelocks never letting phone sleep. And the davlik art switch made my note4 almost burn hot when optimized the apps for art. Phone would die & bootloop till I pulled battery after that then died,system read issue. Common umungst the early production n4. Got given a new 1 & sold it & got a n5. 64Bit & exy made so much difference. Like chalk & cheese. All so nuch smoother & fàster. You just need a key drive & gear 2 for the ir & its much better than the 4 which everyone thought was best. Me still on my note 7 now which is just perfect. Such a shame their stupid mistakes killed it off. Media hype & flight ban forded their hand though. I got 2,ablack & a gold.both 100%charge still & Even though its only wifi only now,its still the best(non)phone ever.

Maybe paint tv bezel red as you like. See if that dont distract you or anyone around watching it with you. See the point here. No one sell red color tv or monitor.

Having a bright red front will only become a distraction when you try go enjoy media; watching video for example. That big red bezel is gonna distract you like crazy. Meizu probably took this in as a consideration.

I might have liked the red version of this phone but the front is black! I mainly look at the front of my phone so won't see the back all that much, so it's virtually a black phone in my opinion - the last colour I would ever choose for a phone. I will take ANY colour but black - I don't like black or dark cars either. This is supposed to be a high end phone, why couldn't they have made the front red too. I understand it must be cheaper to make the front black but it is an annoying way to cut corners.

We need more red. Gimme a red S7 Edge. Or gimme the red Note 4. Either way they'll look gorgeous, since this phone does.Red is essential to humans. Proof: blood. Why did nobody sold a red quality device? It is a mystery of life, like why does the A5 2014 is getting Nougat beford the Note 4 or the S5 does.
