Nokia is making 2g phones for the 3rd world countries cause that`s what the average byer there can afford. It is all about market domination and the 3rd world markets are the emerging ones.

I reckon if they made a 3g version with a good little camera both ways, even a smidge larger screen then many would be happy with a small classic device.

Those old feature 3G phones from Nokia also costed far more than 25-30$. Such cheap phone with everlasting battery, solid build quality and Snake. That's more than enough for many to buy it (not me since I'am only interested in smartphones since 2007 with Nokia 7610)

I know that the company which produced the 216 is different from the one producing the 150, but if nothing has changed in the device itself, it doesn't justify a name change. This could only lead to comfusion...

I don't understand why Nokia is cheapening out by not putting a 3G radio on these phones. Before smartphones, Nokia had 3G feature phones aplenty, but ever since the smartphone era, they literally turned back the clock on these simpler phones, making them 2G only.

Really annoying as 3G call quality is better than 2G (add on to the fact some countries have phased out 2G already).

the reason why nokia still producing 2G because

                        1st - dirt cheap
2nd - can be used all country except few
                        3rd - using less energy unlike 3G/4G
                        4rd - profit
