Was forced to update by the network provider, has lost 3% in the last 5 minutes alone. Tried clearing the cache and resetting app preferences to no avail. Really disappointed as my battery was a beast before. Would no longer recommend getting a Samsung to anyone though.

hello every body
after about 14 months i tested my s7 edge's battery and surprisingly the battery health is
great
with 1080p screen resolution it endures around of 10 h (9 h but 13% remained)
on android 6 it was around of 5 or 6 h
i dont know why the gsmarena's new test was worst
after android 7 nougat there is a considerable battery improvement

The thing that solved my battery problem after installing Nougat on my S7, was restoring applications prefereces. In settings- >applications-> (three dots menu) -> Restore app preferences.
(I also cleared the cache from the boot menu)
(I did not make a factory reset before or after update)
Before this the battery lasted 6 hours, and now more than 20.

I had the same issue. After wiping the cache everything is back to normal.
Nougat was draining 20% per hour, now I got 10% for 4+ hours.
Wiping cache hold volupme up, home and power until phone boots, release power.

I won't be upgrading my phone to Nougat. My S7 Edge battery life is amazing. I get well over a full day (sometimes 2 days) on a full charge. I'm not gonna spoil that for some cosmetic updates.

Since the nougat update my s7 edge is useless. I always run with medium power saver on and now I have to charge the phone by evening. Sitting at 10% now.

Battery life is terrible. With marsmallow i got day and half but now only day. Using only calling, some messenger and stock samsung browser.

I am using Nougat for three days now on my S7, and I am totally disappointed with battery life. I hope there will be some update soon :(

Did get the update for my s7 edge E8890 today but after i read this i will not upgrade my s7 edge.
It is mostly a downgrade.

tonymancs, 05 Feb 2017I've tried countless custom ROMs on CM11-13 but maybe I didn't tried this one. Thx for the tip... moresure, try it, this guy still keeps updating his rom and kernel and is very active in his thread. He will always help what he can. This is the best rom for performance/battery life.
