TV is not about speed, it's about interconnecting all types of radios.
Reminds me of *summer wars* movie.
Why is everyone on this thread only talking about internet speeds when 4G/LTE networks aren't just about Mobile data?. What happened to the other benefits that come along with that evolved network?
Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017Unneeded. The problem of mobile networks is not speed at this point, it's bandwidth. Seriously... moreAgree...4G speed is enough for now...
AnonD-39937, 30 Jan 2017That moment when you have just 1GB of Internet per month on contract and hear 1Gb/s speed...Same as mine..I laughed...and feel sad too..
Unneeded. The problem of mobile networks is not speed at this point, it's bandwidth. Seriously moat countries have to fix their bandwidth limits. Many people use their phones as their primary devices and silly bandwidth caps (extremely low in most countries), pretty much disallow things like video viewing and downloading big apps.
Find a way to give bandwidth for cheap and then "fix" the speed. BTW LTE is fast enough for everything and will be so for the foreseeable future, bandwidth caps on the other hand is like cancer and it's like living in early 2000s... Sad!
That moment when you have just 1GB of Internet per month on contract and hear 1Gb/s speed...
And here in India we are enjoying free Jio 4g since last June ✌
Anyway keep moving forward Nokia 👍
rich watarious, 30 Jan 2017Oh great move there Nokia, I was thinking either Samsung or huawei will paneer this move to 5g... moreDidnt you read the last sentence of this article? Samsung have been doing it since 2013. It wont appear in 2018 even if Nokia doing it. You stupid. It still gonna take a while. No one is selling 5G capable phone yet. Its like you trying to use 4G network on a 3G only phone. Fyi, Nokia only developing the network.
Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017Where's Ericsson in this? Did they not use to spearhead the development of the mobile hardware... moreAgreed!
nokia:-)
Where's Ericsson in this? Did they not use to spearhead the development of the mobile hardware tech on the planet? Either way - hopefully it is all interoperable whether developed by Huawei or Samsung.
Do we really need that fast Internet for mobile while it's limited and overpriced? I mean i have 4G but in most area it's 3G and download speed 1.9Mb/sec i can stream 1080p without any problems but i get 5GB for €15 this is my point, so they will give us 10mb/sec and 6GB for €20 it's just useless for someone like me, i use mobile data to chat and play some video games that even work pretty well if speed is only 50kb/sec , otherwise everybody have WIFI at home unlimited plans that's it. If they wanna make it useful they should give unlimited plans for example monthly cost €30 - €50 depending on speed now people would enjoy it. Otherwise it's just for chatting, voice call and some mobile games that doesn't require high speed.
AnonD-617820, 30 Jan 2017meanwhile in my country the 4G LTE is still makes frustrated4G in my country is not yet common too
Gannicus, 30 Jan 2017There you go 5g , meanwhile here in ph we enjoy the 2g networkMaybe you should finally replace that 2005 phone of yours.
Oh great move there Nokia, I was thinking either Samsung or huawei will paneer this move to 5g. But it seems Nokia is in the Android world to cause great surprises to millions. Great move. Very soon the 4.5g will start rolling out and the network companies will also start upgrading to the 4.5g and the 5g network. some one must first make a move. This tells me that in 2018 the amazing high speed 5g will be available for us to use.
Never mind 5G at the moment. For now we just need Nokia to release a wothhwhile 4G phone! Rather than the entry level rubbish thus far.
Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017Humph!
Just get the 3 / 4G service covering the whole country first.
Here in the UK there ar... moreWell, it's not Nokia's fault if your country's network providers have not done anything for getting 4G to everyone.
In Finland, 4G is already covering over 90% of the finnish people.
Humph!
Just get the 3 / 4G service covering the whole country first.
Here in the UK there are places without any mobile coverage at all, let alone 5G.
Thriller, 30 Jan 2017BB is back.
Nokia is back.
what else are going back?BB is back as just one of many Android device brands.
And this part of Nokia never went anywhere at all. They only sold their mobile handset business, which they are reviving through HMD
