Anonymous, 19 Jan 2017LG better maintain the "removable battery" feature or they'll lose prospective buyers.I hope so. The V20 of my wife's has a removable battery. If Sammy had a removable battery for the Note 7, then all they had to do would be ditch the battery, send new/different type to Note 7 owners and it's fixed. But no, that's not gonna happen, so they had to eject the whole Note 7. Because of a bad battery choice.
Some people just never learn.
LG better maintain the "removable battery" feature or they'll lose prospective buyers.
Dom, 15 Jan 2017Bootloop: It's a feature!if not for that bootloop feature of LG, i would have one of them right now.
Daniel W, 15 Jan 2017Um, sRGB is a color space, Pentile is a (family of) subpixel pattern(s).Oh sorry u were talking about that sRGB, I thought the standard red green blue pattern of subpixels seen in LCDs etc which is also used in AMOLED display of OP3 and is unlike the pen tile matrix arrangement.

I want 5.7 to 6 inch minimum screen size and removable battery, I'm thinking to get a v10 to replace my galaxy note but maybe I will wait to see what is coming up this time because the bootloop problems, also DAC quality which Lg is pushing is really tentative.
AnonD-491313, 14 Jan 2017No..... pentile or RGB have to do with the display pixel density as shown in previous matters.... moreDo you even know difference between color accuracy and sharpness. I said 100 times that sRGB is sharper than pen tile. Then I said sRGB or pen tile don't have any effect on color accuracy and you say "no, sRGB is sharper than AMOLED" WTF? You are such a fool.
"LG even said this is a direct result from a consumers demand for a bigger display," who did LG survey, Asians? Most westerners don't care about huge phones larger than 5.5" which is my own personal limit as well. Either way it better have a big beefy battery to supply energy to that new QHD+ screen.
Let me guess, 5.5" inch huge screen, like 90% of all new moobiles these days?
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2017Their color deviation in those modes are perfectly fine. And duh it's only in those modes th... moreReally? Stating the obvious? What i always meant is that people associate low end device amoled displays = quality displays. Thats 100% not true and nowan should defend such type of lie. Ugh, its not like amoled saturation isnt great, its just that even saturation can be modified to have the closest to life colors as possible, but then again this is a MASS produced product, not a professional edition model limited to 10,000 units. The best displays are Amoled, in its rights. IPS displays are also great in theyr own rights, but those are becoming rarer by the day of course. Just because something looks punchy and it is directly associated with high contrast and perfect blacks, it doesnt mean you could have some super accurate display with HDR put on top of it....
AnonD-523334, 13 Jan 2017Lol the color accuracy doesn't depend on sRGB or pen tile lol otherwise OP3 would have more ac... moreNo..... pentile or RGB have to do with the display pixel density as shown in previous matters. A more crossed matrix will obviously show a sharper image, but since Samsung applies heavy image processing and other techniques, alongside the resolution to hide the ongoing problem it will obviously show more detailed. And what you mean with sRGB not being a sign of color accuracy? Do you even know what a color space is? Just because its covered, doesnt mean its properly covered.... its not about the mode, but the fact is sRGB should in theory have truer to life colors, even if not by much which is still miles ahead of any other phone you could come up with.
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2017Actually even the note 2, I think s2, and s3, s4 Yada even had accurate modes. They were not ... moreAnd as Samsung gives accurate mode as an option means they give people inaccurate colors by default. So it simply means most people like saturated colors(that's what I was saying) that's why it's default and who likes nitpicking can make it accurate through settings.

They were not ... moreThey may have accurate mode but that doesn't mean they were accurate. accurate mode means "more accurate" than usual. This does not mean that s3, s4 and s5 had a mode in which delta E was zero.
AnonD-523334, 12 Jan 2017No, it will be smaller. It is going to be narrower than G5 but taller. that screen is as wide ... moreDual display eh?......interesting, the V series was never realeased in my market (a mistake by LG if you ask me) so I have never got to play around with this dual screen idea.
Starting to look quite forward to what this device might be :)
Hurry. I want to replace this s7 edge which cracked from a 3ft drop and now has a white line across the screen,it laggy as hell. Samsung sucks.

All you had to do was carry a ... moreNo. Being able to carry a spare did not change the fact that they kept making the phone taller, wider, and thicker for two or the generations in a row while still using the same size battery each time. And without enough hardware efficiency gains to justify such poor moves
