What about the Moto G4 for the USA? I just checked today for a system update under settings-> about phone on 1-7-2017. Looking forward to the true multitasking abilities of Android 7 (Nougat).

I certainly don't recommend updating till the general consensus is a good one. Unless one is dying to multi-window on a phone for some strange reason...

Maybe my very last Moto anything.Well technically speaking they did come through as they promised, just that it was only for the indian versions. They didnt specify which locations though or even mention that, but why would they? So to be fair the moto g4 and g4 plus did get N in 2016 q4.

Maybe my very last Moto anything.Then go purchase one of those SAMSUNG phones, they don't care about the O.S version of their devices even though its a flagship device. REMEMBER this is a midrange device and it updated to 7.0, 7.1 and even android O as they promise so make some sense here.

only bug that i noticed is an app netlive which shows live app data consumption not working that may be due to app not compatibles to nougat.
speed is more or less a little bit fast
SOT-4-5 hours sometimes above 5 hrs while only using YouTube on 4g dsta

I got noughat update on 30 dec 2016 .. 734 mb of file..
But after update my moto g4 plus heats too much unusually..

Keep it, I dont want it. Host of bugs reported on moto support forum from people in india like OS lagging and poor battery performance which is ironic since continuous doze is a big feature of nougat. Maybe if the Android 7.1.1 bug fixes ever get rolled out I will update. Be warned moto g4 users!!

AnonD-627294, 05 Jan 2017yup, g3 came out of box with 4.4 kitkat, and received 4 successive major updates. Can't expect more.Well my G3 came loaded with lollipop and I updated to marshmallow. Only 1 update so I won't be buying another Motorola from Lenovo.
