Having a rating of 50m is just comforting for people who wear the watch while washing their hands or something of that sort. It's actually pretty impressive you can even go swimming with a smart watch.

Android Wear with that battery life has caught my attention. Pretty clever to use a different screen for just time keeping.

In the world of watches 50m water resistance or 5bar doesn't mean you can go 50m deep underwater. This is air pressure rating and is a common misconception. Such rating generally means it is safe to swim with the watch or make quick dives to the bottom of the pool. For snorkeling it is recommended to use at least 10-20 bar (100-200m) rated watch. So this 5bar rating is very similar to the MIL standard and not that impressive.
