Amazing stuff. Their is also a company that has produced batteries that are half the size with same theoretically, that means that very soon we will see batteries then the same size as now. But twice the life. Great advancement.
10nm chipset males my 28nm phone look really old
I'm fed up with all this new socs with great promises, better grab a Pixel and wait for Android 8, it will make a bigger difference for the user.
Samsung next model will be GALAXY FIRE, ready to explode in your hands, pockets etc
If only they would release an updated 652 on 14nm node and boost the clock speed...
27 improved performance OR 40 efficient battery. Well done. If you choose to make it performance based than efficiency based, you suck
It is to be expected that due to Quick Charge 4, the Samsung 2017 flagships will explode even harder!!
And the phone exploded.
I guess 830 might be something based on A73 and A53.

G4M3R, 17 Nov 2016Does the 830 is renamed to 835 or are they altogether different SOCs? Correct me if I'm wrong. They are different soc
Qualcomm is probably going to launch SD 835 and 830 with very little time interval between them. It seems many consumer will have helluva time in 2017 deciding which phone and which SOC to actually go with.
So OnePlus will launch 3X in Mar Again :P
The S8 and Note8 will be packing this beast. Less power means less heat means an ice cold handset. Sammy leads and others follow. When you lead sometimes things blow up.
That's good, but better stop production of the old chips, Snapdragon 650 and 652 should've been 14nm instead of 28nm. The new Snapdragon 653 also uses the same old 28nm process. It's time to move all the chips to 14nm. And we need something like MTK Engineer Mode coz nothing exist for qualcomm devices.
27% performance improvement?? Hmmm they should put more atleast 45% improvement. Samsung exynos is way better in all aspect as soon as samsung makes the Exynos 9 with quad core 2.7GHz Mongoose & quad core 2.0GHz Cortex-A73 CPU and Mali-G71 MP16 that more on leveling everything
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2016Good News. But i wonder why lower end segment or even middle range phones chipsets are still p... moreBecause production facilities have to be kept busy and because they're not as complicated to benefit as much from node shrinks.
Of course, when you take a mid-range SoC and DO manufacture it on a smaller node, you get the SD625 which enable devices with fantastic battery life. Unfortunately, that's just the exception, not the rule for how things work in the silicon industry.
This also hasn't started with SoCs or even smartphones. Intel routinely builds its CPUs on the most advanced node possible, while building its chipsets and controllers on older ones.
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2016They didn't even release the sd830! Hold on...they are skipping a series...and somehow Samsung is involved??? That's a scary prospect...if you get what I mean ;)
Is it octa core or only quad core,if it is 27% faster, then this is quad core.
we want high performance cpu and what to expect from its gpu.I'm bit confused about 830 is it 14nm soc and announce later this.QUALCOM please if you gain profit make it 2x fast.
By smaller devices they might mean, slimmer devices. As if the phones today aren't slim enough!
