Besides knowing about tech has nothing to do with knowing about privacy and stuff or else most tech people won't use Whatsapp.

AnonD-49793, 21 Sep 2016I installed it but can't get past the app permissions screen. It says Screen Overlay detected ... moreAre you using a night mode or something? Some of them don't let you interact with the permissions popups in the ui. So you'd have to disable it.
I'd recommend using the twilight app for night mode.
