-Sense ID is a platform, not a sensor (when will people learn!)
-A few month ago the ultrasonic sucked big time in the leeco phone.
-would xiaomi put this in their flagship 6 month later?
-fingerprint cards has a fully working under glass sensor.
-xiaomi was first with using fpc glas button sensor.
-fpc is said to integrate this under glas sensor in the second half of 2016.

The picture above showing sensor embedded in the glas is from AGC, working with fingerprint cards as far as i know.

      Still QC ultrasonic?

I'm guessing you're one of the ppl shorting FPC stock and are tired of FPC:s success in delivering the best sensors.

Do you need a smaller ram in your everyday use smartphone? How much is free out of 1gb ram iphone for example? Out of 6gb, half of it will be free at least. Ram don't affect battery performance, phone performance(not that much except more multitasking can be done), or even the price of the phone. So, you want a $500 phone with 1gb ram or $500 phone with 6gb ram? Is there really a need to argue and ask silly things like these?

No iOS devices don't need more than 3gb of ram .. You know why. They cant even multitask lmao.. Discussion ended.

These systems operate differently then most people are used to, and the more ram you give them the happier they are. Commonly used apps are partially pre-loaded into ram so that starting and switching applications is very fast. A few manufactures limit how much ram can be used like this, or end users download/run ram boosters because the are uneducated.

My question is, do we need 6gb of RAM in everyday-use smartphone? And persons who used a phone with 6 GB ram, in the task manager, how much RAM is usually free out of 6???

Wow. This is a very impressive achivement ..... from Qualcomm. I hope that other major manufacturers like Lg, Samsung, Apple, and HTC would consider this on their next flagship. I wont buy a Xiaomi smartphone because they had like zero customer support in my country.

Using sense id does not mean it will also use qualcomms fingerprint sensor, this is a common mistake on News sites.., that is not the same thing. Also it is HIGHLY unlikely their sensor would ever cover the whole screen, it is already too expensive to produce normal sized compared to competition today. I believe the sensor they will use is from FPC and not qualcomm. Or is there anything in that image that imply qualcomm? except 'sense id' which is no proof.

Hopefully they will manage better than LeEco with Le Max 2. It was not that good from the beginning. It's strange though because the fp scanner on Le 1s is much faster than on my Le Max 2 that has QC fingerprint tech...
Maybe Xiaomi will manage to make it work as it should be.

AnonD-482637, 15 Sep 2016Because qualcomm losing to apple twister for performance, and exynos for battery saving, they ... moreso a sensor that let's you unlock your phone without putting your specific finger in a specific place and offers a 3D tech instead of 2D fingerprint.....of course it's a gimmick, innovation is a phone without a headphone jack.
