Regarding Mediatek low performance and power hungry, that is just software failure by the phone manufacturer themselves. If it is not optimized well it will be a horrible phone of course. Some exammple of great phone from international brands is the Sony Xperia C4 and Vivo X5 Max Platinum where both using Mediatek chipset. Avoid buying from generic brands or off-brands that no one ever heard of like the one you had bought. Qmobile? That is not international brand at all. Meizu is just starting out but if you want Meizu better buy the one with Exynos chipsets. I don't trust new company either but some of them do grow big like Xiaomi and Huawei. Now recognized as a trusted brand internationally and reviewed by many techies.

Mediatek is the largest chips make... morein my view windows os was the basic reason for nokia failure. they were supposed to stick to people's demand i.e., android. mediatekk is world's largest cuz it makes cheap and low performance SoCs, for example Qmobile in pakistan is making cheap phones with MT so called octacore processors, the result? they are simply looting the people.their phones sucks big time. i am using meizu mx5 having helio x10 and i will never ever be using a mediatekk based phone again in my life. their processors are battery hungry. eats battery even in idle mode.

Mediatek Helio x30 actually bring difference with top SoCs, atleast for until everyone release new SoCs (SD830, Kirin960..)
Mediatek could release "improved" version from Helio x30, could be called x35.
Helio x30: 2x "Artemis" 2.8GHz + 4x A53 2.2GHz + 4x A35 2GHz
GPU: PowerVR 7XT (GT7400, 800MHz)
Helio x35: 2x "Artemis" 3GHz + 4x A35 2GHz + 4x A35 2GHz
GPU: PowerVR 7XT Plus (GT7400 Plus, 800MHz)
They should use more A35 (to reduce energy usage), and as for "main" cores freq should be increased.

Mediatek is the largest chips maker so that thing will not disappear any sooner either. It is used in smart tvs too like the one in Sony's tv. Helio X20 is a deca-core so it should be good. Meizu is just starting their business and Mediatek is the cheapest solution for budget control. Be positive bro.
