-AppleUserI never said it's not practical ;) it is, for schools and people on a budget looking for cheap simple device . ;) but when I read childish comments (and sometimes articles here) which gives the impression of "bigger market share" means "better" I cant stop but laugh.. ;)

What makes chromebooks appealing is their price. They can go lower than traditional (wintel) computers because manufacturers can use ARM SoCs that cost less, don't need cooling and consume less power.
What people in education want is a cheap (aka easily replaceable), portable computer that can be locked down, run office apps and a web browser. With Google backing the whole thing, it is just perfect for them.

Windows getting outsold for PC/Laptops? you wish, I don't even like where the OS is now, but when Windows 10 gets completed, goodluck on MacOS and other OS out there

Pretty much all tablets have keyboards have keyboards these days, but they also have pens, so much better for educational purposes...

The base model costs 1300$ which is what the average windows ultrabook of the same quality sells for. Plus it has a 26 watt cpu with intel's iris graphics instead of the standard 15 watt cpu with intel hd graphics.

If Apple wants to take their marketshare back they need to fix the Air which they have long neglected... Maybe an 11-inch Air with the atom X7 for the price of an iPad?
Their whole iPad Pro as a laptop replacement is silly IMO.
