The clock no longer seems to be moving after the update? How is it going to prevent burn in?

With the new update when you put the end & start clocks on the same time it is sup post to leave the display on continuously but it switches it off at that time and requires you to switch it on again, needs a fix.

why do they not address the two biggest problems with the Always on display? It should allow notification of messages from third party apps, and the biggest thing i have seen, for me and several others on the forums is the horrible ambient light sensor. MOST of the time you can not read anything other than the time. it's hard to see what day it is, or battery life left, BECAUSE IT IS TOO DIM!!!! I HATE THE AMBIENT SENSOR. it is terrible. most of the time the AOD is so dim, I can't read it, so I turn my phone on to see what I need to see. that absolutely defeats the very purpose it was developed for.
At the very least, customers should have a menu choice. We should be able to set it to 100% brightness all the time, or 50% or 35%, whatever your choice is. But for them to only offer it as an ambient brightness renders it useless to many of us. Choice is ALWAYS KING!!! I don't know why Samsung hasn't learned this lesson. I think it is very sharp, the few times it shows up as full brightness. And sense it doesn't use hardly any power only lighting those pixels, why not leave it bright? I would very much prefer full brightness all the time. But maybe others wouldn't. So make it a menu choice. Give people the choice between ambient lighting, 100%, 50% and maybe 30%. Then we are all very happy, and the Always on Display would actually be useful. Please think about it Samsung.

Th... morelike seriously, you blind samsung fanboys really need to educate yourself before trying to defend. First, nokia n8 is not a lumia and it's a symbian smartphone. Second of all, i don't care about moto x or nexus 6p, as the feature exists on nokia's smartphone way back. Third, it's about who came up with the feature first, not what it can display in the always on feature. Fourth, always on means always on, no matter how you spin it.

The Moto X requires a wave over the display or a notification to arrive before it displays information. The Nexus 6P needs either a notification to arrive or a full pick-up-and-tilt by you. Do some research, perhaps? The Lumia, though, just has a clock on the bottom of the screen. That's it. The S7 has a lot more options and capabilities. The S7's always-on just needs a wake gesture and 3rd party notification support.

Whoever wrote that should seriously learn some of the smartphone history before representing gsmarena. I already used that "new" always on feature with nokia n8, which is a SMARTPHONE that came out in 2010.

I wish Samsung software engineers implemented Orientation detection in AlwaysOnDisplay,
I put my S7 on a wireless charger in Horizontal position, but the phone AOD always stays in default vertical mode,
Am I alone in this? :-(

My Nokia 808 had a glance screen and you could take pictures and have them as what looked like 8 bit "r g b" close up comic print low power screen savers!

I did read of some issues though but they were addressed in the first updates which the phones received in the first half of March. so unless you are talking about a phone that was never updated, I'm pretty sure there is no such issue anymore :)
