I had a samsung nexus, a g3, and finally a g pro2 and all of them died violently on their way learning to fly. so of this military stuff i'm really curious about. Seeing how nice their previous cams were, this is also a definiative step up. For me the design was also love at first..
sayying this as before it's first preview article, I decided to never again buy LG. (I'm still very fed up that my LGs haven't had an unlockable bootloader anytime early/not at all..
wich is a serious nogo in terms of os stability where it lacks much
in terms of screencasting hd stuff via slimport while having 20+ other stuff open, my g pro2 goes admirably smooth.
soc-wise: atm i have an 801 in it, and although i had the chance to see the 810 up-close, i don't miss it all that heat and throttling around at all, and with 3gig in my current i'm content.
For this reason an 808 is still an upgrade to me. Exynos or Helio probably would be aswell, but Helio devices imho are ugly and uninspiring with their generally 4pple-like outlook. and s4msung just really don't cut it for me being a so fragile flat brick (albeit a goodlooking leather brick)
that said: benchmarking wasn't and probably will never by my thing anyway. I don't care about having the fastest whatever.
For me the important thing is to have a stable and capable device with decent sot and a unique look
and although i know in the battery department it sxx big time, but, then again, that's what extended batteries, external dual battery charger docks, and a jeans- or shirt-pocket is for..
it takes only a few seconds to reboot anyway if u control autostart stuffs
my score is 7.9
on day 4 with this phone. I'm an LG fan for sure, optimus g pro and g4 previously. Day one I thought the 2nd screen would be useless; by the 4th day it is essential - the calendar on the 2nd screen is killer for those that bounce from meeting to meeting. The screen is wowing, the camera capabilities are nuts. Not so sure about the 2 cams on the front but then again I'm a grown adult with no need for selfies. For me 10 out of 10.
The only demerit is the price of this phone as well as that of G4.
2nd screen can be very useful for the business person because you can have your calendar always at the top. Thats one of the reasons I am getting this phone.
The second screen is impractical. A lot of reviewer said so too. It is too far at the top and not easy to reach by fingers.
It's interesting to see that so many people are still giving LG V10 such a good rating even though it has poor battery life and a relatively non-true-flagship processor. Has this been launched at the earlier part of the year I would think the phone is worth buying. But with phones with snapdragon 820 coming up in 3 months time that will have performance at least 30% better than v10 and comes with better battery life, I just don't see why I would not wait for a new true flagship or buy a G4 or note 5 instead. Don't tell me performance is not important. If it's not just buy a Note 4. And unfortunately to LG, most people who say that V10 is hot are not the actual buyers of the phone as with other poll.
I've held this phone in BestBuy store. It feels really good in hand. That secondary display is really interesting. BUT, battery life is a BIG disappointment in LG devices running Lollipop. Even the great LG G2 suffered from significant endurance drop after Lollipop update. LG should figure it out, its almost a year with crappy Lollipop.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2015True, but the battery life is a bit disappointing. Note 5 has same screen size and battery cap... moreIt's sad how SD808/810 killed flagships this year. 2016 is going to be a much better year, and most likely will see a bunch of battery life records.
vivi, 15 Nov 2015LG V10 is way more interesting than recent Samsung or Apple flagships.True, but the battery life is a bit disappointing. Note 5 has same screen size and battery capacity, but much better endurance.
AnonD-190634, 15 Nov 2015why is the second display cool? not really hot to meOH, that's bkz you are watching it with frozen eyes @()@
AnonD-190634, 15 Nov 2015why is the second display cool? not really hot to meAlways on clock/notifications, zoom when recording, switch apps without needing to hit the multitask button. Probably something more I forgot. Did you even read the review?
This Phone is Hot Would Love to have it
why is the second display cool? not really hot to me
Forget LG. They are one of the worst compainies for sending out Android updates. As this is not one of their flagships....good luck getting Android updates to fix security flaws. I have made the mistake and a couple of years ago bought a LG G2. Still stuck on Android 5.0 and has the Stagefright security risk. They still have not released an update even though Marshmellow is out ....Android 6.0. Stay away.
Of course people like the phone . I voted for it. It has a killer sleca. Removable battery and micro SD card slot.and it finally has a fingerprint scanner. This thing is so durable , I was watching multiple videos of drop tests with this thing. It can take more damage than almost any other phone I've ever seen. I definelty recommend this to anyone who wants a phablet out there. Or the note 5, I have it and it great.
LG V10 is way more interesting than recent Samsung or Apple flagships.
Maybe this is a training ground for LG G5, i will reserve my money, hahaha
Hot but too expensive..not everyone can buy...
V10 may not have awesome battery life, but manual video/camera possible settings of shutter-speed,aspect-ratio,mics,flash makes this so innovative, camera UI of other brands looks almost childish and obsolete with their max this/that or no setting at all. Still length of 4k is in this or 950/XL,Z5P a wonder, but sure will be better than with limited samsung memory.
AnonD-442781, 15 Nov 2015Not hot without the 810, both literally and figuratively :D And poor battery life. Even if... moreTroll!! You dont owned lg so shut up
