Did you guys feel this phone will be update to lollipop or kitkat?
IMO The dual screen is a great innovation. Is it here to stay is the Million dollar question.
@anonymous yota fanboy-so you are hurt by even a mildly critical review that point to reality.Get a life instead of rubbishing aside reality.
zviki, 23 Jan 2015E-ink display is there for LONGER battery life, because it doesn`t need power to show the pictu... moreAdd to that a mere 1800mAh battery and a still high price -13,000Rs for such a pathetic phone!
zviki, 23 Jan 2015E-ink display is there for LONGER battery life, because it doesn`t need power to show the pictu... moreya this phone sucks, with it e-ink (useless) and very low screen to body ratio.
Anonymous, 23 Jan 2015your knowledge is poor, krait cores are based on cotex a15, cortex a9 was outdated in 2012, no... moreLOL,cortex A9 was still used in some popular flagships of 2013 like Xperia Z, Moto X, Find 5, HTC Butterfly and Ascend P6.
Only Krait 300 and 400 were based on Cortex A15.
Krait 100 and 200 were based on Cortex A9.
The S4 plus and Pro runs on Krait architecture that are based on the Cortex A9 design.
So don't just jump on somebody before u really know ur stuff....
Anonymous, 22 Jan 2015That's what I was thinking. I don't see this being very helpful, for the added cost and batter... moreE-ink display is there for LONGER battery life, because it doesn`t need power to show the picture, just for refresh it.
And about A7 arhitecture... It was also built for power efficiency
AnonD-272584, 22 Jan 2015I just said what is written in snapdragon website. You see i am not a techie or a sowftware pro... moreNp, its understandable. The thing is a lot of guys thinks more cores is always better. But that's not the case. Lesser cores of better architecture is better. Last years flagships were based on Cortex A15 architecture like SD 800 which can easily beat the octacore Mediatek.
This year they moved on to new 64bit ready architecture i.e Cortex A53 for low end(SD 410 for example) and Cortex A57 for high(SD 810 uses 4 a57 high power and 4 a53 low power).
And the CPU u see on this phone should have have been the go to CPU for last years mid to high end phones but sadly they all sticker to SD 400 for the sake marketing them as quadcores...
AnonD-272584, 22 Jan 2015Pathetic specs. You will get a dual core 4.3 inch smartphone for much lower than 13,000 Rs(even... morethis isnt a new phone, get a life and stop posting all these pathetic rubbish
Athull, 22 Jan 2015Dude get some sense first before commenting. The processor on this phone is a Cortex A9 based... moreyour knowledge is poor, krait cores are based on cotex a15, cortex a9 was outdated in 2012, no true flagship used a9's in 2013.

The processor on this phone is a Cortex A9 based... moreI just said what is written in snapdragon website. You see i am not a techie or a sowftware pro.My field is entirely different.I came here because i am tech enthusiast.
In snapdragon website it's written snapdragon 200 support quad core 1.2 Ghz,302 GPU and 720p video. While of s4pro it's written it support only 1.7Ghz dual core or quad core krait,320GPU,1080p=hd video. So,yes i overlooked the quad core krait in s4 pro.Although an earlier version, the s4 pro does score better.
Regarding internal architecture i donot have clue as i am not in your field;).
AnonD-272584, 22 Jan 2015Secondary E-Ink display is a novel idea. But what is the practical use-have you used it?That's what I was thinking. I don't see this being very helpful, for the added cost and battery life sacrifice (both powering it AND taking up battery space).
Like the LG G-Flex phone. Why make this curved? Doesn't fit in my pocket very well and isn't as nice to hold. And the screen looks just as good as any flat screen...
AnonD-272584, 22 Jan 2015You may be a special case. Most people want phones with screen size more than 4.7 to 5.5 inches... moreDude get some sense first before commenting.
The processor on this phone is a Cortex A9 based 1.7 GHz dual core I.e equal to a 1.7 GHz cortex A7 quad core. The snapdragon 200-400 quadcore are based on cortex A7 at much lower clock meaning they are less powerful.
Also this article is wrong in stating that the phones uses SD400 it in fact uses a S4 Pro.
Something I understand u have no idea about is that u don't know about architectures that processors are based on.
Cortex a7 is weakest modern architecture used in the Snapdragon 200-400 and mediatek quad and octacore cpu.
Cortex A9 on the otherhand is a more powerful architecture that was used in most 2012 and early 2013 flagships and also in all snapdragon S4 series CPUs.
The power of One cortex A9 core= Two Cortex A7 cores
The GPU on this adreno 320 is more than 3x powerful than adreno 305 in snapdragon 400.
Also 2g networks have nothing to do with phone processors and core...
Your knowledge is poor man :(
AnonD-168203, 22 Jan 2015The processor is better than the quad core in moto e. Everyone doesn't want a 5 inch phone. M... moreAlso for your info-Moto E is dual core. But the more recent entry level snapdragon 200 although support quad core and 302 GPU,has only 720p video, while S4 pro support only dual core but has 1080p hd video. So overall both processors are more or less equal.
Anonymous, 22 Jan 2015Does that come with a eink display at the back? Secondary E-Ink display is a novel idea. But what is the practical use-have you used it?
AnonD-168203, 22 Jan 2015The processor is better than the quad core in moto e.
Everyone doesn't want a 5 inch phone. M... moreYou may be a special case. Most people want phones with screen size more than 4.7 to 5.5 inches.
5 to 5.5 inch is the ideal size and that is why most smartphones are now in that range.
Only thing is smartphone manufacturers should concentrate on compactness (screen to body ratio) more.Sony Xperia ZL was a good one but they didn't continue that good trend after that.
This Sony Xperia ZL has 5 inch screen size and only 13.1 cm length and 6.9 cm breadth .While this Yota phone with a mere 4.3 inch display has 13.3 cm length and 6.7cm breadth.Clearly Xperia ZL(75.33% screen to body ratio)is way more compact than this Yota phone(only 56.9% screen to body ratio).Only good thing is perhaps the 2GB RAM,you will get Micromax 2GB phones for under 13,000Rs.
So along with screen size and a mere dual core(dual core will lag much in 2G only rural areas, while Quad core and Octa core will perform well in such conditions) ,this phone is also very poor in compactness-only 56.9% screen to body ratio-So pathetic phone.

The article states wrong about processor.
This is a S4 pro and not SD 400. The same processor of Xperia SP and Moto X.
And don't Judge by the dual core badge this is way more powerful than even the octacore phones of the price range.
