Its just like with Nokia, they sold tens of millions phones and from outside everything looked good, except the sales turned towards lowend phones and they didnt make much money anymore even when they sold tens of millions phones. And i guess you know where Nokia is now?

I think Samsung and apple lose more market share than expected. There are better phones are in the market in very cheap prices. And do not think expensive phones are premium . For example iphone 6 has just $230 BOM or actual cost of parts or hardware is much less than Samsung , lg Sony , htc and Xiaomi.

The competition makes many more devices with even better spec and feature at even lower prices. Although its harder for phone makers to optimise every bit of it, but the superior hardware and available choices compensate it all. We consumers love choices and competition. We are sick of being dictated by someone,anyone. You get it? Sorry and we are not students.

GOOGLE! its called fragmentat... morethe point of iOS is just simple, its closed source and no custom roms ! and only Apple uses it but in Android world we got: TouchWiz, Sense, Optimus UI, MIUI, CyanogenMod, OmniRom, LiquidSmooth and other AOSP based roms and OEM`s Framework based roms ! thats only problem, if all would take pure android and optimize a little, and don`t put a bloatware and don`t stick framework base there :D it would be just as smooth as iOS is ! thats it :D and iPhone 4s lags in menu and how gta would run smoother on iOS 8? :D :D cmon iPhones are not beasts of future and today :) just marketing garbage :P

The hardware specs of Android is also to blame!
People are sold to high core numbers / high ram numbers / high ghz numbers.. without knowing it in greater details.
And come out with arguments like MY HTC M7 is faster! because it has "quad core , RAM HIGH and Ghz.." *facepalm*
Its not true! You can proof this if you go study the chips more!
So fact is android is not optimised + a weak high number chipset = poor performance.
So thats why there is no point getting an expensive android, just stick with Xiaomi. As that is what android are good for: Cheap.

and who's fault is that? GOOGLE! its called fragmentation. You guys would get these games after 10 years if devs would optimize it for every different android hardware, its impossible. Thats the beauty of íOS devices they run everything perfectly because its so easy to optimize for iOS devices.
You are just giving excuses (like all you android users), this just proves that numbers on paper doesnt mean anything if it cant perform in real life.

yes Apple works better becouse they change alittle to their specs and iOS and thats why they falling behind other smartphone makers, but problem with android is UI optimatizaton android in pure from is very fast, but UI that each smartphone adds can slow down or couses Android to lag if its not done propetly

ok samsung still on the top but it is not doing well year by year its dosnt mean that they are dying as you know samsung is not just a smartphones company they have many other successful product and still # 1 selling for this products that they can make many researches and marketing to sell their products including their smartphones , so samsung will never die

Even Nexus 9 . running the dual core have no such excuse.
Fact is the cpu in ur note 4 is crap compared to A8 chip.

Im using iPad and iPhone and they both multitasking great and the performance is out of this world, no matter what i do those devices are always fast and smooth. (cant say same thing about android devices)
