You guys should not surprise about this stupid logo redesign. The most of ZTE's top managements are idiots now.
Was it designed by the bloke who designs "new" Samsung phones?
Evidently a lot of hard-headed thinking has gone into it. Way to go!
Woop da dooo....who cares :)
ZTE is really the quietly brilliant one.

The typeface being used looks like one of those free fonts you get off dafont.com and then somebody further gave it a 2pt outline using live trace on Illustrator. I am personally not a fan of acronyms as company names but what makes HTC's work is its elegant and clean execution. ZTE on the other hand definitely needs an entire rebrand to save it from the disaster it already is.
If THAT is the extent of their design capabilities, I would choose another phone.

The only new company policy they should have is to hire lots and lots of Android developers.
Ugly. The old one is much nicer.

The logo is awfull, look like a chubby comic sans :D
They only have one good model (Zmax) and it's not intended for Europe. they really need a huge change in their polity (As do all manufacturers for one reason or another).
Lmao. This new logo is 99 percent same as the old one and they call it "redesigned." Really ZTE?
even worse than before....!
Don't even need 5 minutes to reproduce this in Illustrator, and the fact that they used the same radius on inside and outside curves is why the thickness varies, but I suppose they're going for an organic feel.
Anyways this is useless, what ZTE really needs is a new name/brand identity, preferably something that doesn't start with "z". You're not going to see this logo being featured in any graphic design blogs anytime soon, that's for sure (unless it's a blog about bad logos, perhaps).
Lol.. hardly any different. ZTE no money to hire Feng Shui Master for better advice?
