If they could bring this back but with some essential upgrades I'd be made up:
Decent camera (min. 8mpx)
MicroSD slot (for music & camera)
Slightly taller colour screen (not touch)
4g data (at least) for apps / internet
Perhaps a slightly deeper body for longer life battery
I truly miss this phone but couldn't live with the above basics!

If you can, check nothinjg in the phone's settings has been changed

After about 12 years of no use what so ever i just pluged in the chager and its still works!!

I had this mobile phone. Entire class was envy on me, because I had something nice, sofisticated with style. This was 2001 year when I got this mobile phone. My father took Samsung A 100 for himself and he bought this one for me. I was in high school. One year after, he had problems, went on service examination and they said: water inside, not sure how this went in, maybe sweat, heat, temperature change. Thank you daddy for making me proud on that spring or summer day in June 2001.:) Today I have Samsung Galaxy S3, thank you again daddy for buying me another nice mobile engine.:) But Motorola V50 will stay in my nice memory, I saw this phone in several movies, I think Ocean 11 I think.

Happend the same to me!!! xDDD and it kept working even with more than half of the screen in black! ;)) It worth it the (40.000 escudos-Portugal Currency = 200€ actual currency) in that time :D

i had the Motorola v50 for 1 year it works grate
once i dropped it on the rode and a car ran it over the screen broke but the phone kept on going it worked perfectly but you cant see what your doing

I've been using V50 for 9 years! Many times dropped accidentally on concrete floor, many times used it in the rain, many times sat on it. Not a single break, not a single software hang-up (I mean when software stops working because of flaws in itself). Very durable phone! Though one drawback is that when the antenna is touched during conversation or turned various ways, connection may drop sometimes.

I needed one of these for my BMW. The dealers couldn't help. I tried a standard V50 phone and it made my car battery go flat. The proper BMW version phones don't flatten the battery.
I got mine from bmwcarphone.com and the phone was new, cheap, and quickly delivered. Much better than a flat battery or three penalty points..!

Hi, can't find a manual to dowload for my V50 - so, problem is - the keypad only does numbers so I can't send messages - I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious but can anyone help me?

you dont need to buy the bmw model

I have this phone. I bought it from a carboot sale for 50p! It's realy batterd, smashed and the paint has worn off all the phone. It has missing logos to. But the battery is good and it charges and works fine. Well done Motorola for creating such a durable phone.

i loved this phone. i had the cool blue. it was just a smart phone. i thought i was james bond with little gadget. the only niggle was the aerial it always got stuck in my pocket. i liked the update V150.

I got this phone, though it is really tatty now but still works and charges up well too! The game are also realy cool.
