I would be gladly pay $1500 for a new Moto Z. It would need to able use all the current Mods every made.
I'm still using my MotoZ4 and still a fantastic phone.
The people's doesn't has a brain that's what got Motorola died. The Z4 is still an awesome device.
TommyCameronlilsleep, 30 Apr 2021Motorola Moto Z3 has a snapdragon 835 processor to wipe out most of today's competitionOne of the major downside of SD 835 is that the phone with SD 835 starts to become hot with even slight usage. SD 835 is not properly optimized itself.

Hello. Should i buy Moto Z4 as a device considering that I'll use it in office and play games for some little time as i don't get time often for games. How's the battery life and cameras? Any heating issue?

I just recently got this phone after buying a Z3 Play for next to nothing and playing around with mods a bit. While the Z3 Play was a bit laggy for my taste, this phone is actually quite snappy, even for 2023.
I love that it is so thin and actually doesn't make too much of itself when it comes to the design. It just simply is a pretty little device with a nice size screen.
Headphone jack, decent camera and all the sweet mods. Plus, battery still lasts a day at least.
I got mine from AliExpress and shopped mods off eBay. I am really loving the concept, and to be honest - if you're not heavily into gaming or apps that use a lot of 3D this phone will do just fine.
Oh, and Google Camera (Gcam) works perfectly on it. So you can get some pretty nice pictures from both cameras on the phone (Gcam doesn't work with the Hasselblad mod).
midnight, 14 Apr 2023with 3600mAh i doubt that especially when the battery starts to degrade Battery life is measured in more then just mAh. You're doing it wrong if you think a higher mAh is all you need for longer usage time.
Plus the Z series of phones are the only phones available where you can literally snap a MOD pack onto it. Such as a larger secondary battery with triple the battery life. ..or a 360 degree Camera MOD, Speaker MOD, Projector MOD, game controller mod, etc.
I really liked the Z series for its thin and lightweight phones. They even had large displays.
After that I had a Google Pixel 4a, another thin and very lightweight phone
But today everyone is just building thick and heavy phones. It's so frustrating when you hold one of these older phones in hand, they make so much more sense than anything today.

Moto Z... Under sold by Marketing at Motorola/Lenovo. The Mod concept is a real buzz even if you only use the battery pack. With the versatility of this device why would I want a Samsung.

I proudly own and use daily my z3 z2 an z (all PLAY..) Motorolas. Soundboost2 is my mod of choice although I keep handy a battery mod too. You never know!
There's nothing stopping Lenovo Motorola from rebooting the moto Z franchise and it'd be an absolute killer move but they're probably too busy making all sorts of other plans, completely disregarding the general consensus, so I'm actually not sure if I'll ever have a try at the z4, which is not actually meant for the EU market.. but it's not too late to try..
Great phone I have had for almost 3 years. I will buy the Edge+ 2022 edition. Great product also!
I've had the GSM unlocked XT 1980-4 non-VZW phone almost 6 months now & love it. I'm a light, non gaming user, so the SD 635 is more than fine for me, 4gb ram is what I'm used to (Note3, Note5, Moto g power 2020), & works fine for me. I might run 1-2 apps at a time & its never seemed slow to me. I have been building PCs since 99' when I was 9 & have a powerful hand built 5ghz PC so I dont use my phone much as I post this from my PC (I like my PC is my point). I bought my Z4 in March 2022 for 225$ on Fleabay as I dont buy new phones. I got a hard bricked white note 3 for free in June 2015, de-bricked it with samsung kies, & used it until Feb 2020 running android 6 oreo, when I dropped it in a snowy parking lot. So, I really dont care about phones. But I absolutely love the mods. I had a 100$ moto G power 2020 before this. I did like the 5000 mAh battery + IPS power sipping screen. But the Z4 3600 mAh battery plus the 2220 mAh incipio wireless charging pack is way better as I never have to charge the phone with the wire, wearing out the USB-C on the phone. I wirelessly charge the incipio battery mod & pop it on. I haven't plugged my Z4 in since I bought the battery mod. I LOVE the projector for my lunch breaks at work. I dim the lights & watch some salty cracker on youtube while I eat. The 1000 mAh projector mod battery is 4 years old, so it only lasts about 30-40 minutes. But I can buy more of them as they are only 65$ NIB from 2018. The projector can run off your phone battery so its not all bad. Just dont expect to watch long movies on it. If I have to skype or signal video call, I always use the JBL speaker, the 2nd gen. Its a SHAME that your ringer/alarms do NOT come through the JBL speaker, but rings from the phones speaker phone even when the speaker mods attached. Kinda dumb, but the mod was 16$ & gives me a decent stereo speakers. I could have ran android 6 through 2021 with my note 3, but straight talk was texting me telling me my note 3 wont be supported in 2022, lol. t(^_^t) planned obsolescence.
I refused to give up my ability to take out my battery. As I was one of the 35 white residents in Detroit. So sticky situations-a-plenty. Now that I'm no longer homeless & outside the Detroit city limits the battery issue is no longer an issue. As you don't accidentally stumble into a war zone where I'm able to live now. So, for a guy like me this is a Godsend. I can afford 225$, has 4gb RAM just like my G power and note 5s. But for 5 years 3gb of RAM was fine for me, I'm sure this RAM is at a much higher clockrate than the note 3 or 5. The screen is much nicer than the Moto G but it chews more juice. Counter this by rooting your Z4 & remove all the google junk/bloatware. I wont buy a phone that isn't explicitly rootable. As I can run apps that let me use my regular data as "hotspot" data. Which we all know is a scam. You could make an ad-hoc network with DIAL UP in 1997! If I plug my PC into ethernet & run "connectify" my PC can create a hotspot. My ISP doesn't charge me for making a hotspot with data I paid for. Google is literally disabling WiFi chips from performing certain functions within android & allowing service providers to charge you to enable the functionality of hardware you bought. Whats the difference if I use data I paid for on my phone, or laptop? Profits.. You can do BT & USB tethering, but its slow (240k/s for BT, 400k/s for USB). So root is a must which means my android is always 2-6 years old. I dont recommend flashing other OS's (Cyanogenmod or Calyx) to this phone as you lose the specific version of Android that was made to work with moto mods flawlessly. I'd imagine it wouldn't work with the mods anymore. But you can root it. Don't ask me how, you have internet if you're reading this. Thats my 2 cents.

Mobxpert, 17 Feb 2021I mean this is the best slimmest phone ever made.It wasn't made to be slim. It's quite bulky with any of the Mod. It was made with Mods, for enthusiast. Sadly Moto discontinued the Z series lineup.
I can't help but think that the Moto Z family would still be here if Motorola launched a flagship variant of this phone with an SD 855 chipset. That would be a solid follow up to both Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z3. SD 675 only makes it a successor to the midrange-tier Moto Z3 Play.
