Probably one of the favorite smartphone ever since the first Android and iPhone was released. Particularly the customizable aesthetic and shape of the device. I still use the "Moto" notification sound in my phone today.

Still miss this phone.
One of the best phones i had.
It wasn't the most powerful but it was good enough. Had a great screen. introduced new useful stuff like the glance display. was really hooked on that and the gestures, for witch i am still using a Motorola phone ever since.
I can't explain it if you never tried it. But this phone really felt good in the hand. That curved back realy felt nice. Comparing it to the bricks or slabs of gla we have now.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2024I've used this device back then it was a really great device to use with the amoled displ... moreI still have the one with the Walnut back. Have a spare SIM in it and it still works perfectly. I tend to err towards smaller phones :)

I've used this device back then it was a really great device to use with the amoled display and fun colors, I had customized its back cover a couple of times. I really liked the google experience but every since lenovo took over the experience is very different. Motorola is still a great budget brand if you ask me with respect to their current devices but its not the same experience as google brought to the brand.

Love this little phone. They don't make them this small anymore. My Pixel 3 is small but dwarfs the Moto X. My pixel broke so I brought out this old thing and fell back in love with it. It's just slow and many apps are not offered on this android version. I think I'll keep it as my car's bluetooth boom box and download songs to it. Love the size and lightness. The fiberglass back is still rugged and hides impacts well.

T-Mobile is killing my Moto X by doing away with CDMA. So sad. All the replacement phones are big slabs of ugly. Loved the ruggedness and form of my Moto, slips in an out of pockets and about 4.6 oz. Great battery life. Ah well.

Just made the switch to an iPhone se 2020 and it is just ridiculous how much better
the og Moto x is in comparison.
