Motorola launched the Moto S50 Neo in June, and as promised, the brand unveiled the vanilla S50 today. The Motorola Moto S50 is powered by the Dimensity 7300 SoC, runs Android 14, and comes with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage onboard.
The smartphone is built around a 6.36" 120Hz LTPO pOLED display of 2,670x1,272-pixel resolution with HDR10+ support and 3,000 nits peak brightness. The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera and a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication.
Around the back, you get a triple camera setup, which is a combination of 50MP primary (Sony IMX896, OIS), 13MP ultrawide (123° FOV), and 10MP telephoto (3x optical zoom, OIS) units.
Keeping the lights on for the Motorola Moto S50 is a 4,310 mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging support. The smartphone also has an IP68 rating. If all this sounds familiar, it's because the Motorola Moto S50 is a version of the recently announced Motorola Edge 50 Neo, with the S50 being China-exclusive and the Edge 50 Neo targeted at international markets.
The Motorola Moto S50 comes in three Pantone-validated colors and has two memory configurations - 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, priced at CNY2,199 ($310/€280/INR26,000) and CNY2,499 ($350/€320/INR29,550), respectively. It's available for purchase through Lenovo's official Chinese website.
