The it self just find, My moto drop more than a meter n just fine without protector. Next time get europe or south east Asia version

This is the best smartphone in that price and playing pubg till now. It has excellent battery performance. Awesome phone.

The G8+ was great, very good performance for the price and a very spartan version of Android with zero baked-in bloatware so I never even felt the need to root it.

Mine still works like a charm after 2yrs of use. It's my "daily driver". The thing that killed this product is the stupid and ridiculous decision by Motorola to discontinue the phone 1 year after launch. Big disappointment for a lot of customers with this model.

For a company with their reputation, this was a big bummer when I bought it at release for almost 400 euro's. Now, barely 2 yrs later the phone is worth about half that price and my security updates are 1yr old.
Looking into building a custom ROM of Android 12 for this device. Not sure if I can manage, but I will try.

Had this phone for over a year now. It get worse every day. I mostly picked it for playing Pokemon Go and listening to music. It's terrible at both.
Forget listening to spotify and playing at the same time, but even a basic music player playing offline music can lag while playing PoGo. Not to mention when a phone goes full ham and I need to restart game to get back to more then 1FPS if not the whole phone.
Outside of PoGo it also can simply go into freeze while using facebook or anything. Terrible crap even for the price.

I absolutely love my Moto g8 plus and I've been a Moto devotee since the original g, but after only 2 years and one OS upgrade Motorola has dropped the g8 plus. This sucks! The company has lost it's way since it's been taken over by Lenovo. From now on I'll stick to brands that offer at least 3 years plus of updates and support for their phones.
