Just replaced my Moto G4, having bought this in November 2016 from John Lewis in the UK. The problems I started to have was ghost writing when trying to enter unlock password, my banking app started having problems last year as well as another app from a well known German supermarket chain. Also the battery life has fallen a lot in my opinion to about less than 1 day and more like half a day for light use, including web surfing. Paid £165 (GBP) new. All in all it has done well and lasted 7 years, will still use it without the SIM card as it has a number of apps that I need, but don't want on my new phone which is a Moto G13 purchased a few days ago. It has been the longest I have had a single phone including a smart phone and I'm in my early 50's.
Bought this phone off of eBay for $20 as a secondary phone just so that I don't ruin the battery from my primary phone. It still gets the job done since I usually web browse and watch YouTube videos and I got what I paid for (although I could've spent the extra money and gotten the G4 Plus since it's on Android 8 rather than 7).

I have been using motog4 for the last 5 years. It was awesome performing but now a days I'm facing battery life issues may be due to the long use and I'm going to change this one.Actually it is a super cool phone for minimalist users .

Takes about the same skill level as someone who can replace a broken screen on a phone. It is certainly easier than replacing an iPhone battery :)

I have it 5years, my phone sometimes shut downs on 10-15% (battery is dead), my volume button broke and popped out. Camera got blurry, but in all was very satisfied with it I'm buying Motorola again
Phone still works OK overall. Main problem is overheating frequently whether sitting on a desk or in a pocket. Often calls will not ring but go straight to voicemail when not in Do Not Disturb mode, but this could be a carrier issue rather than an inherent phone issue.
Over heating problem. But still working since 5 years. No new updates on software.

why did the microphone on my texting change from grey to blue and will not allow me to text like I did before it changed to blue microphone?

"i had laminated the sim card non contact/ non connector side with sellotape(transparent plastic adhesive tape) (should be thin), this will add some extra height to the sim card which put more pressure on the lossen gold sim connectors to ensure no gap contact. now it's working fine totaly. hope it should be usefull to you also!
