If this phone could have readyfor at such an affordable price, what is stopping manufacturers like Samsung putting their "readyfor" which is known as DEX, into their mid range devices?

Its correct, it doesn't support peek display, I've checked one of my friend's g84, it doesn't support peek display as well.
