Nearly three months after its debut in China, the Moto Razr 2022 is finally getting an international release, starting with select European markets. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 clamshell foldable will retail for €1,200 (£949 in the UK) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. Motorola is not ready to share the availability date for now, but we can expect that to be revealed soon enough. Moto Razr 2022 is still offered in a single Satin Black color.
Razr 2022 brings a 6.7” OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. There’s a redesigned hinge mechanism and the chin from the previous Razr models is now gone. You also get a 2.7” OLED cover screen which allows you to access most of the phone’s features without needing to unfold the main one.

There’s a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide module. You can take you selfies with the two main cams or use the 32MP module housed in the punch hole cutout on the main display. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is joined by 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It appears that the 8/128GB and 12/512GB models will not be part of the initial global rollout.
Moto Razr 2022 also boasts stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, eSIM + physical SIM slot, IP52 spash rating and a 3,500mAh battery with 30W charging. The software side is covered by Android 12 and MyUX interface on top.
Not living in the 90s? Well hopefully in the early 00s, where one could decide themselves whether they want a flip phone or a non-flip phone. I love companies that give us this option, so I can choose whether I prefer a screen only or a flip. Just ...
By the time they released it globally, Samsung will have a better Flip 5..6..7. Motorola should know that they are not living in the 90s anymore. Things are moving much faster than they thinking.
