With the announcement of Qualcomm’s newest mobile chipsets Snapdragon W5 and W5 + Gen 1, it was also noted that both Oppo and Mobvoi would be the first brands to release smartwatches that pack the new SoC inside.
Mobvoi adds to the announcement with its own teaser of the next-generation TicWatch wearable. It confirms the news with an image of its upcoming wearable, which is likely to be a successor to the TicWatch Pro series given the appearance of its bezel and shape of the watch case.

In addition, the Snapdragon W5+ platform’s powerful applications processor and ultralow power co-processor will enable Mobvoi to deliver a smartwatch with ultra-fast performance and connectivity.
The smartwatch will be powered by Wear OS, though it hasn’t been revealed which version of the platform. For reference, the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 will launch with One UI Watch 4.5 based on Wear OS 3.5.
We’ve yet to know Mobvoi’s release date for the next TicWatch but the timing of its teasers may indicate the smartwatch could launch in the coming weeks.
