It's been about a year since Mobvoi released the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and the company is introducing an incremental update to the watch. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is almost identical to the TicWatch Pro 3, with an new secondary display that produces a splash of color using the backlight. The design of the watch body and the included silicone strap have also been updated.
The smartwatch still has the 1.4-inch AMOLED "Smart" display while the secondary, low-powered FSTN display sees an updated backlight setup. This secondary display is always on and uses minimal power. This is also where you can glance at the time, date, step count, or current workout stats without activating the Smart display. The Ultra model lets you customize the color of the backlight; you can choose from 18 different colors. The display itself is still monochrome.
Mobvoi makes the same battery life claims of up to 45 days using Essential Mode (smart features disabled) or 72 hours of battery life in Smart Mode. The smartwatch's official spec sheet notes that the smartwatch is powered by the Snapdragon 4100 Wear Platform "and Mobvoi dual processor system". This is contrary to reports that suggested the Ultra model would be powered by the Snapdragon 4100+ Wear.
The new smartwatch gets Mobvoi's Health tracking, 24-hour heart-rate and stress monitoring, SPO2 tracking, step counting, five-antenna GPS, barometer, and NFC for Google Pay.
The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is not a real successor, but rather a refresh model. As a result, the TicWatch Pro 3 non-Ultra has now been discounted from $299 to $255. The new Ultra model will go for $299 and is only available in Shadow Black.
You know, I can always use a Garmin card ... and you suddenly have no argument left to flex.
That's very good for a WearOS watch, you're pathetic since you can't do your research, go play with your mi band.
