A closed beta ROM for the Pocophone F1 surfaced earlier this week and now the finalized version is rolling out. It updates MIUI 9.6, also known as MIUI for Poco, to MIUI 10 with updated UI features and a “natural sound system”. Sadly, it is still on Android Oreo, with Xiaomi still testing Android Pie in a closed group.
The Stable ROM is 592 MB in size and comes with an October security patch. The new MIUI has “all-new full-screen gestures”, which remove the need of software buttons on the bottom. We also expect to be able to watch videos on YouTube with pinch-to-zoom gesture that fills the whole screen, including the space around the notch.
The other new feature is also neat - MIUI applies smart filters and gives you ambient notification sounds like the forest, the beach, a stove fire, etc. They will react differently depending on your surroundings and time of day. There is also redesigned notification panel, better multitasking and redesigned volume sliders.
Will this "natural sound system" solve the problems with eg. the Pocophone's microphone, noise cancellation system, etc.. which currently makes the sound quality for the person on the other end very bad ? Disabling OK Google, is not a solution, as it...
