Meta updates the 3D avatars for Facebook, Messenger and Instagram

Meta's 3D avatars are meant to be an essential part of the whole metaverse so giving them a more detailed look makes sense. That's why the company added quite a few customizations to the feature. The new 3D avatars can be used on Facebook, Messenger and as DMs on Instagram.

Meta tries to be more inclusive with a plethora of new accessories that can be added to your personal 3D avatar such as hearing aids, wheelchairs, etc. Additionally, the new facial expressions and skin colors should better reflect your real-life looks from now on.

Just in time for Super Bowl LVI, Meta introduces virtual T-Shirts so fans can support the Cincinnati Bengals or Los Angeles Rams.

The new avatars are available to use in the US, Canada and Mexico but other countries will get them in the following months.
