Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has launched a new A5 smartphone in its homeland. It's not an actual new device though - it's an alternative name for Meizu M5c that debuted in May.
The device is powered by Mediatek's MT6737 SoC, and sports a 5-inch HD display. RAM is 2GB, while storage is 16GB.
The handset sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. Measuring 144x70.5x8.3mm and weighing in at 140g, the phone packs in a 3,060mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.1.
Color options include black, gold, and silver. The device carries a price tag of CNY 699, which translates into around $105. It will be available for purchase in China starting today - in fact, sales should have begun by now.
