Meizu Android Announcement

The Meizu 16X has gone official and you can pre-order it today from the company’s own website. If we’re reading things right, the pre-ordered phones will ship out next week on September 26.

The price is CNY 2,100 ($305/€260), making it more affordable than both the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus, which are CNY 2,700 and CNY 3,200 respectively. Those are the prices on the official site, you can find those two for less on JD.com.

That’s the price for the model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage, if you want 128GB you’ll have to shell out CNY 2,400 ($350/€300). The RAM capacity is fixed at 6GB, there's no 4GB model like the Meizu 16. And when picking storage capacity, keep in mind that there's a microSD slot.

While the official site doesn’t (yet) list the specs, we have the scoop from TENAA. It’s basically a Snapdragon 710 version of the regular Meizu 16. The Meizu 16X has the same 6” 1080p+ AMOLED display, 12+20MP rear camera and 20MP selfie camera, the 3,000mAh battery hasn’t budged either. Best of all, the in-display fingerprint reader is still on board.

The color options are Black, White and Gold.

Speaking of colors, the Meizu 16 and 16 Plus both got a new paint job – Aurora Blue. Those cost CNY 100 more than the regular color options for all RAM/storage combos.

How do you know that it doesn't have NFC? I haven't found an article saying it doesn't

Hmm.. even it is better than SD821.. Same single core speed but better in multi core. However, not in GPU department. Adreno 530 is better than 616. But overal, SD710 is worse for heavy gaming but better in power efficiency (new architecture). CMIIW
