MediaTek has successfully developed its first 3nm chipset based on TSMC’s 3nm process technology. The new 3nm chipset will make its commercial debut next year as a member of the flagship Dimensity series. The press release did not go into details regarding the new SoC, only shedding light on TSMC’s 3nm process which offers substantial gains over the outgoing 5nm N5 process.
Based on the provided data, TSMC’s new 3nm process is 18% faster using the same power draw. It also brings a 32% power reduction at the same speed while offering a 60% increase in logic density. MediaTek will launch its 3nm chips based on TSMC’s process technology for smartphones, tablets, intelligent cars and other devices starting H2 2024.
It's not me, it's media...since Apple A7 they told us Apple was 2 years ahead... I understand since many how you can build a benchmark to give credits to some hardware. You've a dev? Compilation with Arm V9 exists...you should...
Not sure what the phones you've mentioned are unless they look similar in total design which I'm guessing you mean? Either way its not just phones Apple wants to increase their 3nm chip orderwith TSMC but their computer lineup as they...
I'm not so sure about that. I get the impression that neural processing is about the level of AI processing that can be done on the phone, which can be useful in some cases.
