LG to take LCD orders for the 6.1" 2018 iPhone

About two weeks ago, a report surfaced claiming that Apple is looking at LG as a potential supplier for its OLED panels and negotiations are in its final phase. It is said that 2 to 4 million units will carry LG's panels and now another industry source confirms those rumors and adds LCD screens into the mix.

A South Korean media reveals that LG will be the only supplier for the 6.1-inch iPhone's LCD panels. That would amount to some 20 million LCD being delivered to Apple as this would be the most affordable member of the upcoming iPhone trio and it should be quite popular.
