LG Android

While LG may or may not leave the smartphone market soon (there's a lot of conflicting information on that right now), at the moment the company is definitely still in the game.

And so it has launched a new device in India today, the K42. This rugged-looking handset was initially announced back in September of last year, but now it's finally made it to the subcontinent.

It's priced over there at INR 10,990 (about $150 or €123 at the current exchange rates). It will become available from Flipkart on January 26 in green and gray. If you buy a K42, you will get a two-year warranty as well as a free one time screen replacement should you need it.

So what do you get from the phone? The LG K42 has a 6.6-inch 720x1600 touchscreen, the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset at the helm, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a 13 MP main rear camera, a 5 MP ultrawide, a 2 MP macro cam, a 2 MP depth sensor, and an 8 MP selfie snapper.

There's a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a dedicated Google Assistant button, a 4,000 mAh battery and MIL-STD 810G compliance for ruggedness.
