I had LG V30 and that one did not perform good. Battery drained in a day with only 2 phone calls and 15 to 20 sms. So I was very sceptical about this one, the LG G8S ThinQ. I bought one to take a look at it and try it out for a month. Now I have it for 6 month and bought 1 more for backup. Sometimes it gets hot and drains the battery very fast but I turn it off and back again and works like a charm for a month or two. I have posted not so good post in a past and for that I apologize to LG company and fans. Hope to see there new mobile products very soon.

This is great phone. 3 years and only now it starts lagging at somepoint, nothing bad. Battery
is two days if you dont watch much videos. Removed rubber casing and using it without it looks even cooler. Aluminum frame feels still very good. Spec still flies. Can anyone suggest current equivalent?

I'm so sad that LG has left the phone market. This phone is really priceless. It's been already almost 3 years and still it's doing very well. Outstanding camera: 3 lenses which one of them is telephoto lense. (beautiful daytime pictures, great video quality), Face ID and Fingerprint sensor works perfectly in my case, 3,5mm jack, water and dust resistance, normal size, and for a good prize 😃. Nobody offers such a combo nowadays. And btw with Android 12 is unexpectedly smooth. ❤️

The LCD screen can get ghosting where the lock s... moreBut they really don't, after all OLED screens drain the battery faster than LCD screens, OLED also suffers from burn-in which is much more common than any other problem linked to LCD.

The LCD screen can get ghosting where the lock screen image is permanently imprinted in the display, even when it's off. Also because of the need for backlighting in LCD screens they tend to drain the battery faster.

I bought one used and cheap. It had some use marks, but so far, i'm happy.
It came with Android 12 stock.
Well build, fells very snappy, the camera takes nice pics and yes you have 3 usefull cams, the face unlock is awesome, even with low light situations.
The downs...the battery life, is not great...maybe needs new battery

I allmost bought it then i saw it has an oled screen, that was the deal breaker. IPS LCD is a super screen it will last us 20 years no problems and it has a natural tone to colours.

Lg g8s is one of the best phones on the market regardless lg not making phones anymore i love it to bits its a technical power beast even after 3 years my dads got samsung s22 ultra and the screen and feel of the phone is cheap and cheap allways on screen trust me apple and samsung cheap feel phones lg g8s allways on screen feels expensive you can change the font to different styles and its got a 3d screen just check it out lg the best phones

Have had a G8S for 3 years and it is totally faultless. I have G2, 4 and 6 before hand and all good. Getting a spare G8 given LG not making so good phones now. My phone is a phone for voice, text and camera. It is not an extension of my life and no personal details are carried in it.
