Matt, 08 Jun 2013This device has served me well. However, it requires a standard SIM, not a micro/mini SIM.SIM used on this device is mini SIM. I guess you are talking about micro/nano SIM. Standard SIM would be mini SIM, but back in late 90s and Early 2000, SIM card used was just "SIM" card, which is size of a credit card. That's why they are calling mini SIM for the size of SIM card used on this device.

Pls can anybody help me? my C900 cannot detect any network signal in Ghana. neither mtn, vodafone nor airtel work on. it detects it only when i am very close to the network pole but with poor signal strength.

For all those people who still own the LG C900 and have been facing with various kinds of issues except batter I highly recommend you all to Coldboot the device and try using it.
Cold Boot How?
Simultaneously press the camera button, Volume + and - and the power button hold it until you see the Cold Boot show up on the screen then release the power button and keep holding on (pressing) the Camera and volume + & - until you see the screen show Cold boot and the LG Logo reappear with the welcome screen.
I've been having issues myself with the device so, after 1 unsuccessful cold boot I gave up, after looking up on google and searching around I noticed that the cold boot done was incorrect by me, I tried again and Viola! I started working no more hiccups etc..,

--Enable the MFG application by going to the dialer and dialing ##634# then pressing call. LG Phone Problem and Solution
--Launch the MFG application and enter 277634#*# when prompted for a password.
--Select the Engineer Menu item.
--Select the Other Setting menu item.
--Select the Edit registry menu item.
--Set the input boxes on this menu as follows:
--Select ROOT_PATH: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
--Input SUB_PATH: \System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\
Input KEY: MobileOperator
Data Type: STRING
--Select Query and write down the result for re-branding (just in case)
--Hit query, and write down the result (used to REBRAND after the update)****
--To DEBRAND change the input data field to “000-88″ then apply the changes
--Connect to Zune and check for updates.
****If you wish to REBRAND the phone, input the query result

Hi Guys anybody from #XDAForum here?
I have some issues with my device, when I used the mfg codes to access the software test I realized there's a error [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Builtin\RIL] "dll", mmril, mmrildbg.dll
Due to which I haven't been able to upgrade my os to 7.8 though I did it once after I connected my device to zune it restored the OS back to 7.5 since then I haven't been able to upgrade even using skype.
I would really appreciate it if somebody can let me know the default strings for LG C900 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Builtin\RIL]
