J, 03 Aug 2024Used as primary from 2016 - 2018. After that using as secondary/media phone still in 2024.Used mine as primary 2016-2023. Changed battery in 2021 and it is as good as ever. Such a peace of mind never having to worry about charges.

Typing this entry on a P2. I have it in use since 2017, not 24/7 most of time, but still. They don't make phones like this anymore, that's for sure.
I might try Lineage on it, since other readers in this thread confirm it works smoothly on this model.

It was the first phone produced by Lenovo after absorbing Motorola technology. And Motorola used to be very good in making phones. Check the specs of the Moto X in these days and you will be amazed by the advanced technology. I have a P2 and still using it when I travel.

The outdated 3.18 kernel is the reason the official ROM support ended. Bypassing the requirements for A12 and A3 comes at a cost. Permissive instead of enforcing Selinux is one of several disadvantages. You cannot monitor network as another example.
