Xiaomi Android Rumors

Over the past two months or so we've been hearing a lot about Xiaomi's upcoming Redmi Note 4X phablet, which is supposed to be a beefed up version of the Redmi Note 4 that launched last year.

Now, ahead of the new phablet's unveiling which is set for tomorrow, the image you can see below has surfaced, purportedly depicting the Redmi Note 4X in two different color versions: green and black.

Yes, its back looks just like that of the Redmi Note 4, in fact the entire design has been rumored to remain unchanged. So we can't be certain that what you're looking at is the Redmi Note 4X and not just the Note 4 with a new green paintjob standing beside the black model. Anyway, if this is the 4X, then consider the lack of a design overhaul 'confirmed' at this point.

The Redmi Note 4X is supposedly going to come with the Snapdragon 653 chipset for the international model, although the one destined for the Chinese market is apparently keeping the MediaTek Helio X20 from the original Note 4. In China the 4X will best that by having a version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Interestingly, the international Note 4 already has that, although paired with the lesser Snapdragon 625 SoC. The bottom line here is that you shouldn't expect the Redmi Note 4X to come with very different specs compared to the Redmi Note 4.
