vivo Android Rumors

The vivo V25 has leaked yet again, but as it turns out there are actually two phones – vanilla and Pro. The vanilla model is the V2202 that we saw initially, the Pro model brings more processing power. Along with those two, yet another upcoming vivo model surfaced.

Let’s start with that one first – the vivo Y35 4G is a successor to the Y33t. It will be powered by the same Snapdragon 680 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It will run FuntouchOS 12 out of the box (based on Android 12 this time).

Official images of the Y35 show a triple camera on the back, allegedly a 50MP main sensor and possibly two 2MP modules. The selfie camera will have a 16MP sensor. The Y33t has a 50+2+2MP setup on the back and a 16MP cam on the front.

Inside will be a 5,000mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support (up from 18W on the Y33t). The phone’s dimensions are reported as 164.3 x 76.1 x 8.28mm and the weight as 188g, basically the same as its predecessor.

The official image promises a release in Malaysia on August 11 (Thursday next week). The phone will be available in Agate Black and Dawn Gold.

The vivo V25 will be powered by the Dimensity 900 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM, according to the Google Play Console. The vivo V25 Pro will use use the more powerful Dimensity 1300, also with 8GB of RAM (note: there may be other memory configurations, they just haven’t leaked yet).

Both are 6nm chips (TSMC N6), but the 900 has only two Cortex-A78 cores (at 2.2GHz) and six A55 (2.0GHz). The 1300 increases the A78 core count to four, one at 3.0GHz and three at 2.6GHz. The difference in GPU computing power is quite pronounced too – Mali-G68 MC vs. Mali-G77 MC9.

The two phones will have FHD+ displays with different aspect ratios, 20:9 and 19.8:9, respectively. We don’t know the dimensions yet. Unconfirmed rumors claim that the V25 Pro will have a triple camera on the back with a 64MP main sensor, a 32MP selfie camera and 66W fast charging. It is expected to launch in India soon at a price below ₹40,000 ($505/€495).

I have to agree. Most common usage is the point and shot, and occasional used ultra-wide.
