The latest entry-level device from Indian manufacturer Lava Mobiles is here and it aims to provide all the essential smartphone features at a sub INR 7,000 ($100) price.
The Z71 comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ screen, Helio A22 chipset, dual cameras and a 3,200 mAh battery.
The Z71's LCD has an 18:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch for the 5MP selfie camera. Around the back, we have a 13MP main shooter alongside a 2MP depth helper. There’s also an LED flash and a fingerprint reader.
The MediaTek Helio A22 sits at the helm alongside 2GB RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable via the microSD slot. The software side is covered by Lava’s own Star OS 5.1 which sits atop of Android 9 Pie. In terms of dimensions, the Z71 comes in at 145.6 mm X 70.9 mm X 9.0 mm and weighs in at 150 grams.

The battery capacity is 3,200 mAh and it charges over microUSB. Other noteworthy specs include the 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and dual SIM capabilities.
The Lava Z71 retails for INR 6,299 ($90) and is available through online and offline retailers in Steel Blue and Red colors.

Disappointing features. We can get Nokia 6.1 plus with 6GB RAM for another $30 more, and with USB type C + Full HD+ display.
