Samsung is seeding a new firmware update to its Galaxy Watch4 which brings camera zoom controls, a new device diagnostic tool and other stability fixes. The update bears the R860XXU1GWA3 build number and is just under 330MB in size.
The big new feature is the zoom toggle within the Camera Controller app on the watch. The feature only works with supported flagship Samsung smartphones ranging from the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip or newer. There are two options to control zoom levels - via the rotating bezel or through pinch to zoom on the smartwatch touchscreen.
The other new bit from the update is the device diagnostic tool which lets you check your watch’s battery status and touchscreen function via your connected phone.
