Apple Laptops Rumors

Apple's first OLED MacBook is coming by the end of 2024. Per analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple plans to ship the OLED MacBook in the later stages of next year, so don't hold your breath for one sooner.

Kuo says that OLED will bring a few advantages over the mini-LED Apple currently uses in the MacBook Pro 14 and 16, and the iPad Pro 12. It will allow for thinner and lighter devices with more diverse form factors. On a side note, OLED also allows for folding devices.

It's expected that with Apple's adoption, the growth of OLED laptop shipments will continue to surge in the coming years.

— 郭明錤 (Ming-Chi Kuo) (@mingchikuo) January 11, 2023

Kuo doesn't say which MacBook will be the first to adopt OLED, but industry insider Ross Young has said that Apple will announce a 13-inch OLED MacBook Air by 2024.

OLED is great for TV. However, it is not so good for computer screens with tons of static content due to burn-in issues.

It highly depends on what line you got. For example, getting a Lenovo ThinkPad is very different to getting anything that's made to be easy to carry. Most companies aren't like Apple. They have many product lines. But Lenovo's ThinkPad...
