Since iQOO is a sub-brand of vivo, which is a brand of the BBK stable, perhaps it's not surprising that it's applying a marketing strategy that seems taken straight from OnePlus - now part of Oppo, another BBK brand.
iQOO has been drip-feeding the media tidbits of information about the upcoming iQOO 8 phones, that will finally be made official on August 17. So far we know that there will be a BMW M Sport special edition, as well as details about the devices' cameras, chipsets, and screens.
Today iQOO has outed the fact that both the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro will feature 120W fast wired charging, while the Pro model will also get 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. The wired charging capacity is lower than the previously rumored 160W, but still obviously nothing to scoff at.
Last year's Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra had 120W charging too, and it went from zero to 100% in just over 20 minutes. The iQOO 8 series will get a 10-bit Samsung E5 LTPO AMOLED panel with a hole-punch selfie cam, 1440p resolution, and an adaptive refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz.
According to previous rumors, we should see the Snapdragon 888+ at the helm, with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. iQOO has already revealed that the 8 Pro will have a 50 MP main camera and a 48 MP ultrawide. The third cam will be a 60mm in 35mm equivalent (about 2.5x) zoom lens.
The ol Qnovo cert battery is battery and charging system with less than 5% degradation per year. That's why Sony touts it back then. But that's before the uber fast charging breaks 30W and now Even Sony abandoned that 5% degradation an...
There was no old gold standard. Those batteries detoriated even faster as they had less charging cycles and produced more heat
